O Christ, who once hast deigned
To be a wedding guest,
On bridegroom and on bride today
May Thy best blessing rest.
O bless the plighted troth,
And bless the solemn vow;
And bless them, Saviour, as in prayer
Before thy throne they bow.
In fulness of Thy grace
Let both united be;
And may their love the wothier prove
Because it flows from Thee.
Through all their wedded days,
In sunshine and in gloom,
Be Thou their guide, until they reach
The everlasting home.
