Toronto 2011: Cohen Media Group Takes U.S. Rights to Michelle Yeoh Drama 'The Lady'

The film, which stars Michelle Yeoh as Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese pro-democracy leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner, had its world premiere Sept. 12 at the Toronto International Film Festival. Yeoh and her co-star David Thewlis have been mentioned as possible contenders in this year's Oscar race. CMG is planning an end of year award-qualifying engagement, followed by a theatrical release early next year.
