Fortissimo accumulates 'Wetlands'

LONDON -- Fortissimo Films has clicked up worldwide sales privileges, excluding Canada, to Guy Edoin's "Esturine habitat," that is preeming in the Venice Film Festival within the Worldwide Critics' Week section on Sept. 3. Following a Venice preem, in france they-Canadian helmer's pic can also be headed towards the Toronto Film Festival, where it'll screen within the Canada First! section on Sept. 9. Metropole Films Distribution is delivering the film in Canada. Story, which Edoin also composed, originates on the dairy farm in rural Canada where tragedy strikes, departing a youthful widow to handle a edgy teenage boy who is incorporated in the procedure for finding his sexuality. Pic toplines Pascale Bussieres, Gabriel Maille, Luc Picard, Francois Papineau, Angele Coutu and Denise Dubois. Max Films' Luc Vandal and Felize Frappier produce. Deal was brokered by Fortissimo's senior Vice president Chris Paton and Frappier. Fortissimo is going to be shopping the project to purchasers in Toronto.
